In the course "Travelling Finland" I learned a lot with the teacher, she has an interactive way of teaching, encourages teamwork, always arriving at her classes in good spirits, trying to go beyond a teacher-student relationship, since she cares  if the students are okay, if they understand the subject and answer the questions.  An excellent teacher.  Ruben Moncada]]> 2021-03-19 00:44:57 UTC https://padlet.com/amandaaaltonen/6cm5byynqxuac1k2/wish/1328076206 https://padlet.com/amandaaaltonen/6cm5byynqxuac1k2/wish/1330237571 Working with Amanda in the Travelling Finland online course was such an amazing experience because she was always open to receiving suggestions in relation to the course and she is also great working in groups. In adittion, Amanda was always willing to do it a joyful and didactic course including different kinds of activities such as videos, reviews, images and others. During the course she demonstrate that she can create a comfortable environment with the students although it was an online class with such a long distance between Chile and Finland that we didn't notice while we were sharing comments and ideas in the class.
Finally, as co-worker I can only say that it was an enrichment experience because Amanda was always able to listen our ideas and share with us the finish education system. She is a wonderful person!

From the beginning Miss Amanda made us feel comfortable, her way of guiding her course made me feel in a safe place to speak and practice my English. Although the online format of the class was an obstacle to being able to hear each other well, she always tried to interact and listen/read everything we had to say.
The fact that she was from Helsinki talking to us while she told us interesting things about her country also made everything interesting.
Miss Amanda's course is one that I would definitely recommend to other students.

Tatiana Millapan]]> 2021-03-19 19:36:36 UTC https://padlet.com/amandaaaltonen/6cm5byynqxuac1k2/wish/1331286339 https://padlet.com/amandaaaltonen/6cm5byynqxuac1k2/wish/1331538442 Being Amanda's student in "Traveling Finland" was incredible because of how she managed this  online course , the way she encouraged us to participate, the didactics that each class she applied (using videos, miro, padlet, presentations, etc.) covering different kinds of motivation and learning, or the worry that she showed in each class by asking how each one of the students was doing, if we had something to share, something fun/different that we did during the week, generating a natural and warm dialogue between the entire course.
I have nothing but good memories and great learnings about the differences and similarities between our countries, some words in Finnish, interesting facts about Finland, the culture and lifestyle, and an immense desire to travel and get to know the country. I would definitely recommend this course without thinking twice.
And I want to add the great work she does to reach each student, creating work groups, giving time for each task (when is necessary), using all the instruments that the university can give us to work with, the sympathy and respect and appreciation/value that she showed to hsr assistants/co-workers during the course.

Also she was very commited with her work, always attentive to our queries, sending us emails, remembering us our duties, plus all her classes were very well structured and each one of them were very enjoyable. Adittionally I would say our teacher/class interaction was very nice, we did learn a lot about her country and she learned about our country as well, so all of us discovered cool things during the course and that's to me the most beautiful memory I have.
