         <description><![CDATA[<p>Self-care is the glue that holds us together. You must prioritize yourself in some way. Self-care is important because it promotes physical health, supports mental well-being, builds emotional resilience, fosters social connections, and enhances productivity. By integrating self-care into daily routines, individuals can achieve a more balanced life, ultimately leading to greater satisfaction and fulfillment. My number one rule for self-care is reminding myself: If I'm not good to and for myself, how can I be good for others?.  Give myself grace and pour into me often so that I can be the best version of myself for others. </p>]]></description>

If one doesn’t take time for self-care, they can easily end up burned out, feeling compassion fatigue, or dealing with secondary traumatic stress. Self-care isn’t just nice to have; it’s a must-have in this profession. It’s a key part of staying healthy personally and doing well professionally. When practitioners focus on self-care, they can do a better job of helping others while also taking care of themselves.</p>]]></description>
