Fiction- The Percy Jackson Series (Luke Castellen)

1.This source relates to my topic because a character in the series, Luke Castellen, is a friend in the beginning of the first book and helps them through many different situations. Near the end of the book, changes arise in Luke's behavior and it turns out that the whole time he was the "bad guy" and was controlling the entire situation the whole time.

2. Reading the book that my example is in helped me understand the topic more because the author makes the character very likable. He has a sad backstory, has been trustworthy friends with one of the main characters his whole life, and was just a down right friendly guy. This being the case, it makes it very hard to accept the the character turned against his friends.

3.The author of the text really got the idea across by making the character so great. He also makes it to where the character has to tell his best friend that , against popular belief, is the bad guy that they've been looking for the entire book. It breaks his best friends heart and the hearts of all the read

Non-Fiction- Benedict Arnold

1.This source relates to my topic because Benedict Arnold is one of the most infamous traitors in our history. He was originally a general for the American Continental Army during the American war for independence. He later defected to the British army to sell out the American troops and give up a primary position during the war.

2. Reading this source helped me better understand the topic because this is a real life example of a person who is not as they originally appear to be. He was once a respected face of the American revolution, but ever since he defected he is a nation-wide face of sign of cowardliness and disrespect.

3.The creator of the article used historical facts to push across the idea. The creator talks about Arnold's time as an American general. He then talks about how and why he defected to the British. Lastly he talks about the consequences of Arnold's betrayal.

Multi-Media- Star Wars (Lando Calrissian)

1.This source relates to my topic because Lando Calrissian is probably the most infamous pop-culture, two-facers in history. Once a smooth talking smuggler, changed into a selfless leader of the fight against the empire. He was to change into a traitor towards Han Solo and the rebellion.

2.Seeing this source helped me better understand the topic because even though it comes from a fictional movies it can be a real thing. We do have real life traitors. Lando Calrissian is a very obvious example of a traitor.

3.The creator of this example got these ideas across by making Han Solo , the one that was betrayed, very disappointed and untrusting. The change of pace from their friendship to hatred and then back to friendship really shows how betrayal can affect someone.

1.This source relate to my topic because it shows a two faced man. One one side he's a normal looking man, but on the other side he's an evil looking monster. This shows how people can be hidden within themselves.

2.Seeing this source helps me better understand the topic because it shows physically shows how people can be two faced. He was once a good man but turned bad do to a bad situation. It doesn't take a whole lot to push someone over the edge, mentally and physically.

3.The creator of this example got this idea across by painting the man as literally two faced. It symbolizes his mental state. The left side shows his former self, a normal man. The right side shows his new self, evil and corrupt.
