Religion in Ancient Sumer, Ziggurats

The Ancient sumerains built temples and tall towers that were called ZIGGURATS. Ziggurats are in the middle of each town and are the tallest building there. These temples had many many floors and were made with mud bricks. Some of the ziggurats where as wide as 200 feet and could be seen from miles away!!! At the top of the ziggurat, you could see all the farm lands that are in the city.
