5 best practices for creating collaborative projects:

1. Break apart different aspects of research to collaborate for an overall project using Google Docs or another collaboration tool.

2. Peer editing in a collaborative document.

3. Inquiry into a topic to create project based assessment with Prezi or Emaze.

4. Debate discussion in any discussion board type app or program.

5. Wiki based board to add to throughout the year for a culminating resource.

3 technology tools that support collaboration:

1.Google Apps for education (Docs, sites, etc) students can share documents and presentations to add or edit work.

2.Prezi students can work collaboratively to demonstrate mastery/understanding of a topic/standard.

3. Edmodo students can stream discussion boards and add multi-media content to groups.

You can change the layout, it doesn't matter to me. Did you try using IE and clicking on the wheel looking icon at the bottom of the menu bar on the right? I don't think the wheel appeared in FF for me, but maybe it was Chrome. I can't remember. You also have to be logged into Padlet to make any changes or else you are in "view" only mode. I created this padlet with your email address that has "kristineg" as the user name. click on the "key" icon on the navigation bar and login first. :) Then you should be able to edit. Also, there is no "linear" option, but this is "grid". Do you like it? Let me know if you can't change it.
