      <description>Aldrich began his journey at Harrow Beijing in August 2018 as a Reception student at the City Campus. Initially, Aldrich required some time to adapt to the new environment, establish school routines, and become acquainted with his peers and teachers. He needed significant support in class, both academically and socially, to navigate relationships with his classmates. Over the subsequent years, Aldrich has shown progress in his spoken English and comprehension. He has started to form relationships with both his peers and adults in the school community. While Aldrich has responded well to support and interventions, consistent observation remains necessary.</description>

         <title>Personally, Aldrich&#39;s self-control is improving. He tries hard to meet expectations and is often worried about disappointing others, which makes him quite sensitive. He is becoming calmer, although he tends to stutter when nervous. Academically, he is becoming more engaged in class and is gaining confidence in expressing himself in front of others.</title>

         <title>Aldrich&#39;s ability to regulate himself has hugely improved this year. Situations which, last year, would have caused him to lash out physically or verbally no longer cause him the same high level emotions. He is more likely to ask for support when he is feeling this way, and this has also meant that his behaviour for learning has improved.</title>

         <title>Catching him being good and quietly praising this, public praise and attention is not something which works for him. Giving him thinking time and a talk partner helps keep him focussed in class and, if things go wrong, ensure that translation is available so that he can make himself understood in whichever language he feels more comfortable using.</title>
