Business for Mountainoak Cheese has been increasing 20 to 50 percent each year. Mountainoak has an onsite well that they use for all of their water supply, but with the increase in demand for cheese the well will not be able to supply the necessary amount of water, causing a supply gap. Mountainoak Cheese also needed to find a way to use more sustainable resources that would be better for their crops and dairy farms in the long run.

It is most definitely more profitable to prevent pollution, due to using more sustainable sources for water and wastewater management. Mountainoak Cheese now has a better understanding of where and how their water is being used, and they can use that information to make informed decisions about water options in the future. Mountainoak also profited from BLOOM, because they analyzed and put in place a wastewater strategy to minimize waste and maximize production abilities. BLOOM created the standard of current water consumption so that Mountainoak Cheese can refer to it when checking future water consumption.

1. The Cleaner and Greener manufacturing program was created. This program allowed manufacturers to reduce toxic substances, greenhouse gasses, and hazardous substances in their workplaces, all while also maximizing production.
2. Over 50 information sessions were held between 2011 and 2013 to assist managers of facilities in having a better understanding of the Cleaner and Greener Manufacturing Program that was created by the Ontario ministry. These sessions helped more than 1000 employees.
3. The ministry provided funding to Trent University and Queen's University so they could build research and skills in green chemistry, and develop solutions and address barriers to effective green chemistry.
