Mountainoak also profited from BLOOM, because they analyzed and put in place a wastewater strategy to minimize waste and maximize production abilities. The Cleaner and Greener manufacturing program was created. This program allowed manufacturers to reduce toxic substances, greenhouse gasses, and hazardous substances in their workplaces, all while also maximizing production.
2. Over 50 information sessions were held between 2011 and 2013 to assist managers of facilities in having a better understanding of the Cleaner and Greener Manufacturing Program that was created by the Ontario ministry. These sessions helped more than 1000 employees.
3. The ministry provided funding to Trent University and Queen's University so they could build research and skills in green chemistry, and develop solutions and address barriers to effective green chemistry.
