Introduction:
The Youth Strategy uses the term ‘youth’ refer to all people under the age of 18 years. When the term ‘youth’ is used in this document, it includes all children and young people. The Youth Strategy applies to all interactions between NSW Police Force employees and youth as members of the broader NSW community. The Youth Strategy applies to all youth including victims, witnesses, offenders and other situations where police come in contact with youth in the course of their official duties. Police are responsible to commitment with community and it is part of their responsibility. Therefore, youth are part of the community and it is grateful to communicate with each other in so many different ways such as youth organisations and so on.

Body:

PCYC is unique among youth organisations because it is the only one which is a partnership between the community and the NSW Police Force. An example of that would be a break and enter program: the education component could include a presentation from insurance companies on the impact of break and enters, a presentation from a victim, and discussion on crime statistics and dealing with the volume of what’s occurring in that area to help educate young people on the impact of their actions.

https://www.pcycnsw.org.au/programs/police-programs/
