Benefits:

Learning can happen at a learner's pace
Learner will be motivated throughout the journey
learner will try overpower his/ her's own weaknesses and apprehensions

Disadvantages:

learner can sometimes be isolated in achieving the goals
repeated failures in personalized learning can demotivate the learner
self assessment is one sided personalized learning

Benefits: the learner can grasp better and quicker. the educator will know that the learner has understood as educator is paying attention and understanding the learners needs. the educator can make use of the learning profile in future.

Disadvantages: the scope will not be broadened if it is not a bit challenging. time taken might me more.
