During peer feedback students practice recognizing the success criteria for classroom learning goals in work that is not their own- which gives them a clearer understanding of the learning goal. Students also practice developing interpersonal skills of a conversation. One way a teacher can do this is by using what's clear/what's unclear questions? This asks the students what they find unclear about directions or content so that they can be retaught as needed. You can also use 1 minute papers, where students use an opportunity to quickly fill out what they do and do not know.
