Diary Entry by Multiverse https://padlet.com/wahedmoonz/6bqd9e4upqjz Umar Chohan en-us 2018-04-27 10:35:26 UTC 2025-02-20 15:19:23 UTC hello@padlet.com Week 6 Task 5: Pre–Production & Production wahedmoonz https://padlet.com/wahedmoonz/6bqd9e4upqjz/wish/255951673 Know: The activity that helped My knowledge and developed the skills further of mine the pre production documentary on the padlet were i can showcase all my work which was done on Microsoft word first i started of with my student consent forms which i need for the actors to act and this shows that theirs proof. also i had done an equipment booking because the equipment i'm using is being used by others, theirs time slots for the use of equipment so i had to write up the date and time and places of the equipment use, this is new to me as before i had not done this for any other of my projects this helps a lot for future projects as well because the experience I've gained from this will help me be more confident and knowing of what i'm doing its almost as if its altered my ego.

Do: The new skills i applied, helped me to complete the tasks, there were barriers such as not being able to go into the room where i am filming the evidence i got eventually that was a successful outcome,so far i'm proud of my pre production i needed a photo taken for my location visit when i tried to enter the room the door was locked so i couldn't get in so i used photos which were taken before to show the place of filming and where everything is going to take place, such as the dark room effect so having the led-light shining upon the actor so i can have that documentary effect so the person cannot be seen also during the editing when i show a face i'm going to blur it so its just not a black person through out the scenes switching it up a bit.

Show: Below you can see the pre production padlet i put all my work on there so its easier to access also uploading the documents individually takes to long to find and can get lost easier better to have them together.
 
Improve: Time specify much more details on also timetable including the places and the arrangements for the documentary.

What do you know that you didn't know before? well this week i had gone on trip to harry potter world seeing how everything is done production wise their is a lot of planning to do before actually shooting a video and putting it out their for the public as many mistakes could be made during the filming processes also i have gained much more general knowledge knowing how exactly my role plays into production by gaining this knowledge i have learnt that i can get a solid pre- productions and run things smoothly. 

Do: The new skills I've developed i had applied this , and complete the task, there were barriers such as camera not working successful at the end.Took some photographs yesterday as they are knowledgeable and every picture has a message also i can use this if ever researching something along the lines of photography and creativity this i a great way to explain my work.

]]> 2018-04-27 10:35:26 UTC https://padlet.com/wahedmoonz/6bqd9e4upqjz/wish/255951674 Week 4:Task 4: Deconstruct 4 Products wahedmoonz https://padlet.com/wahedmoonz/6bqd9e4upqjz/wish/255951675 Know: What had really helped me is the facts stated to me, i know now what to do by following guidelines given to me so for this deconstruction i had to talk about a narrative and target audience which is 15-60 because my documentary is on gun violence this gave me realisation as before  i had no evidence for what age these documentary's small movies were allowed to have a certain age restrictions for some of the audience from certain states and places because in someplace in the us and the UK they decide to ban these type of videos and completely eradicate the entire video. so for this video i'm going to have to put the college name over it in the description because i don't want it getting taken down i want my video to be shared with the world and by doing this hopefully ill be able to keep my video and continue on to see how much attention it gets and what other peoples views are on this topic also reflect on these reviews and work on it on my future projects. i'm also now very fluent with the content of the shots and screenings this is for a better idea and influential understanding to others so they get what the message is i'm trying to get across.

Do: What new skills i had learnt were doing things on time such as completing everything what needs to be done and not getting sidetracked  did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of? I had split my research into two so its easier for people to understand primary and secondary discussing what type of research at first i was going to do a mind map but that just been done before by me and changing it up a little is amazing and fun for me it gets boring doing the same tings so i didn't put it into a mind map no pitch was needed as this may be a form of communication but to give a better understanding i decided to just write it down as doing voice memo is kinda hard for me.

]]> 2018-04-27 10:35:26 UTC https://padlet.com/wahedmoonz/6bqd9e4upqjz/wish/255951675 Week 3: Task 3: Key Types of Research wahedmoonz https://padlet.com/wahedmoonz/6bqd9e4upqjz/wish/255951676 Know: during this week i had done a small project which was going out and doing a couple of small shots and videos that will give us a general idea of what techniques you can use for my documentary. also i have experienced a lot from this which i feel i can now use this technique on my documentary i know what i'm doing i had put in primary research and secondary which had helped me learn quite a lot of things gave me a better perspective i had talked about past research and the research that i'm going to do and how i get that research to be inform able to other people reading and watching my work.

Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of? when i did the last project i made the mistake of not being very clear on what to do and this time i intend to actually let people and audiences know what the message is i'm trying to get across. i want really sure on what to do first with this task until i saw a brief on what needs completed this gave me a nodge in the right direction.

Do: I am currently working on my mind map i also need to do all the other fmp ideas i have put images of the types of shots i would like to get and use in my production i did this and checked my work 

Show: still working on my mind map but done the shots i am possibly going to have in my documentary there are examples on the mind map this shows examples of possible work that i can do and include in my final major project. 

Improve: time management by keeping this well done i can get work done on time and fast as well so i ts not rushed and looking bad and getting things done on time will be great for future projects.
 
]]> 2018-04-27 10:35:26 UTC https://padlet.com/wahedmoonz/6bqd9e4upqjz/wish/255951677 Week 1 :Task 1: Annotated Mood Boards wahedmoonz https://padlet.com/wahedmoonz/6bqd9e4upqjz/wish/255951678 Know:  firstly i had to think about and set out a plan of what this whole idea was of mine so i thought of the USA and how trump and the NSA let gun violence go ahead and how they do promotions on this and how gun violence has increased, my mood board is the pictures that are going to be in my documentary and mentioned secondly i now know that trump uses hes influence on social media to actually tell people the uses of a gun because its so easy to manipulate using things as big as twitter the 3rd biggest social media platform also i picked up on there are very famous movies like bowling for columbine which shows actual actors reenacting what they think and do and how people get guns and how they use them for their problems and cause problems in other people lives. 

Do: I was running out of ideas for mood-boards so what i did was put all the movies together in a row to discuss the true meaning behind it and what exactly leads to these movies being made and the media exploiting it, i also had put into one of my mood boards documentary what i am aiming to do for this project this mood-board presentation has helped me to understand the subject a little bit better so this will help me along the way of the entire project also i am learning a lot from this like the NSA hand out guns to homeless not only that they have supplied to the us army as well even cases all the time were thy do business with private gun store owners and they let kids under the age of 21 buy from them without any id due to this the gun crime rate has gone up and is still on the increase had not decreased since 2009.

Show: Did this mood board and this shows the images created by public and gun violence prevention groups which have a very good true meaning behind them such as the one image as an example included in my image-board 1,000 lives 1,000 meanings these photos, include evidence in print screen form that there a meaning behind these images.

Improve: what i need to do is make sure that everything is done and double check and proof read the work before i submit it to check for any mistakes and anything i could of put in to help the reader understand this even more.

Produce a visual and written report that evaluates your final production but equally as important the process you worked through to complete this project. 

1. My explanation for my idea for this project was. my entire project was to show off my documentary and make people aware of this serious matter and situation and events that occur that many are unaware of i presented these cases in my documentary not only that but the shots i got of the actors shows the emotion and feelings of others and i had to put this kind of awareness out there letting everyone know there are resources out there that can help. 

2. Generating the right planning and idea for the production
Well i had some examples looked by me and i previewed it and i decided a documentary was right for me to work on and will be fun putting a positive message out there. so i had considered other type of documentary but i went with the most interesting one american violence.

3. Analyse your final product in terms of the side of me came out when editing artistic and my technical qualities were average as the effects i put in look wavy kind of trippy .the techniques i have applied to my work and the technical problems i had to overcome.was quite annoying when it happened Well editing wise at the end with the rendering i came across a problem but i solved it by searching for a solution.

down below is the work i had done one shoot to show what kind of image was edited and about catching close ups as such. 


5. How effective was your planning and pre–production? Could it have been improved? I don't like to think how it could of been improved because i have double check and know myself my pre production  is all done and up to date. 

6. How close is your final work to your original intentions?
very close to my original idea and production fits the profile.

7. What have you had to change and how? 
i have changed quite a bit as some was wrong but was done. 

8. How well did you manage your time and work towards deadlines?
i done it all on time.

9. How effective was your research in helping you achieve your objectives? Give annotated examples from your research to show how it informed your development of ideas and final idea. 
very effective and all done in time.

10. What would you do differently next time? i hope to improve it different next time buy making it longer and make little bit of more planning so i can make it a very long documentary at least 20m

11. What are the main strengths and weaknesses of your work?
