In the novel, Ponyboy says,"It ain't fair"! His friends also think life isn't the best. Two-Bit says that," Like it or lump it-the chips always down on our side. Also, the Soc think similar to this. A Soc named Randy says that, "Greasers will still be Greasers and Socs will still be Socs. isn't  As they grow, change and experience new things, Ponyboy and his friends realize, being a greaser isn't the worst thing. "Mabye the 2 different worlds, we live in weren't so different. We saw the same sunset.
