He is best known for predicting the orbit of the comet that was later named by his name. He was born in November 8, 1656, in London, England. He was taught privately at his house then he entered St. Paul's School. Edmund Halley was usually exceeding in mathematics and astronomy. After he finished school he entered Queens College, Oxford in 1673 at that time he was 17 years old. He became a protege of John Flamsteed.

In his spare time he would read books about modern philosophy, from these books he discovered the new concept of nature, that was the framework of the SR.
