She meets a guy named Edward and she is instantly attracted to him. As hard as they both try they can't help but fall for each other, getting caught up in the mysterious life Edward has to offer.<br> I love this book because I love, love stories. The mixture of suspense made the story even more enjoyable to read.  <br> Kids Who read this book are interested in romance novels and vampires in grades 7th-9th. <br> I could use this book to teach about symbols and figurative language.<br><br> </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>by Stephanie Meyer<br>Fiction<br>Read 9/10/2017<br>This book is the second install from the Twilight series. This book is about Edward and Bella and how their relationship is too dangerous for them to continue. Edward leaves Bella, to keep her safe, but Bella does not take his absence well. <br>  I liked this book because it was filled with so much emotion. I believe that Meyer did really well with making the reader feel how Bella felt during Edwards absence.<br> Kids who like this book are interested in Vampires and relationship stories. <br>  I could use this book to teach about reading comprehension and vocabulary using context clues.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>by JK Rolling<br>Fiction<br>Read 8/20/2017<br>This book is about a little boy named Harry who is forced to live with his mean aunt and uncle, and selfish cousin Dudley; his parent died when he was a baby and this was the only family he had left. When he is of age he is visited by Hagrid, a wizard, who saves him and introduces him to the world of wizardry.<br> I love this book because it is full of adventure and well written, as an adult I appreciate it more.<br>  This book is interesting to kids who enjoy reading fantasy stories in grades 3rd-5th.<br> I could use this book to ask discussion questions to my students after reading. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;by Louis Sachar<br>Fiction<br>Read 9/12/2017<br>This book is about Stanley Yelnat who is cursed from his great-great grandfather. He is sent to a detention center (Camp Green Lake) for something he did not do but when he gets there he meets and becomes really good friends with some of the other boys. The Warden forces the boys to dig holes in search for something unknown to the boys.<br>&nbsp; This book was really good. I enjoyed the back story of the curse and the way the boys bonded over time.<br>&nbsp; This book is interesting to kids who like adventurous stories with humor ages 9-12.&nbsp;<br>I could use this book to teach about&nbsp;character development. </div>]]></description>

During this era (1936 in Flint, Michigan), was the Great Depression. <br> I liked this book because it was really funny.<br> This book is interesting to kids who like to read about stories based off of history in grades 3rd-7th.<br> I could use this book to teach about Social Studies (Great Depression). </div>]]></description>

After Gilead, Offred was separated from her family and forced to bear children for elite couples.<br>&nbsp;I liked this book even more than I did in high school after reading it again.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;This book is interesting to any students who likes reading about women's rights and different forms of government.<br>&nbsp;I could use this book to teach comprehension of texts.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>by Keely Hutton<br>Non Fiction/ Fiction<br>Read 9/9/2017<br>This booked is based off of the life of Ricky Richard Anywar, who was captured and forced to fight in Joseph Kony 's Army in Uganda civil war; although he was forced to fight in a war he was still very optimistic about being freed. 20 years later Ricky is helping other enslaved as he was, rehabilitating them from their time fighting in the war.&nbsp;<br>I liked this book because although he was enslaved he was still very positive; as a child I could not imagine having to be in a war seeing deaths, rapes and mutilations done in front of me.<br>This book is interesting to kids who like reading about true events such as the Uganda Civil War.<br>&nbsp;I could use this book to talk about social studies.</div>]]></description>

Because Suzy believes that there is a reason for everything that happens she thinks that Franny dies from a jellyfish sting and is determined to prove her theory. Suzy wants answers to why her friend died because when she died they were not on good terms, being that Franny stopped hanging with her for the popular crowd.<br> I liked this book because it teaches about grief.<br>This book is interesting to kids who like books that make them wonder about the inevitable in grades 5th-9th. <br>  I could use this book to teach about symbols and symbolism.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>by Stephanie Meyers<br>Fiction<br>Read 9/29/2017<br>This book is about a girl whose mind was invaded by a host while keeping her body. Melanie does not give up her mind easily as her thoughts still fill Wanderer's head (the host). With Melanie still present she tells Wanderer about a guy she liked before who is still hiding from the invaders.<br> I like this book because it is a different type of love story. It's one girl but really two, searching for a guy they both love.<br>This book is interesting to kids who like stories about the earth being taken over by foreign species; books about adventure.<br>  I could use this book to guide discussions in book club with my students.</div>]]></description>
