    However, they do grant LinkedIn the following rights in regards to content:
    • A worldwide, transferable and sublicensable right to use, copy, modify, distribute, publish, and process, information and content that users provide "without any further consent, notice and/or compensation to you or others."
    • if users choose to share a post as "public", LinkedIn members can embed that public post onto third-party services, and that allows search engines to make that public content findable though their services.
    • LinkedIn "may edit and make format changes to user content (such as translating it, modifying the size, layout or file type or removing metadata)." They "will not modify the meaning of the user's expression." 

    How to end LinkedIn's license to content:
    Users can end the license by deleting the content or closing their account. However, if content has been re-shared or copied by others, it may not be able to be removed.

    Please see below regarding LinkedIn's privacy policy language:

    "We do not share your personal data with any third-party advertisers or ad networks for their advertising except for: 
    • hashed or device identifiers (to the extent they are personal data in some countries)
    • with your separate permission (e.g., lead generation form) or 
    • data already visible to any users of the Services (e.g. profile)."

    User's data can also be tracked by their behavior i.e. clicking on ads (third-parties can track users through cookies).

    "Advertising partners can associate personal data collected by the advertiser directly from you with our cookies and similar technologies. In such instances, we seek to contractually require such advertising partners to obtain your explicit, opt-in consent before doing so."
