Within your group, create a mind-map to organise your research. You may use the mind map template in canva or use A3 paper. The 3 main ideas you select will be the 3 main ideas for your 3 workshop activities.

You can use the research template from last period to help you decide on your main ideas but you may need to conduct further research.

Take turns sharing in your group your topic research. Explain the main ideas of your issues and why you think its interesting and if you think the group should choose it as your workshop topic or not.

As a group, discuss and vote on the topic you find most interesting to complete your workshop on. Once you decide, fill in the form with your group name and topic. You must have your topic approved before going to recess.

As a group, discuss and complete the workshop template by the end of Period 3 and submit it to Ms. T for approval before moving on to the next task. You may like to type it in a shared document.

Break into 4 smaller groups and choose a topic from the lists on one of the websites to research further (all groups must choose a different topic). In your mini-group, research this topic further and complete the research template with at least 10 important ideas related to the topic. You may like to make it a shared document that you can all work from at once.

As a group, put the template above into a shared working document and provide constructive (that means KIND) feedback to each other of ways you might improve your activity.

After you receive your feedback, make any improves to your activity by the end of the period.

Use this period to do a FULL run through from start to finish and consider any changes you may need to make before then.

*Things to remember-

-Do you have a timekeeper? Is each section keeping to time? Do some sections need to be shorter or longer?

-Think about how you will use the space-is there enough room for your activity and audience group?

-Is someone breaking up the groups into activity groups and getting them back together?
