18. Is the use of graffiti art and graffiti-inspired art by new businesses and developments in Santa Ana, like the Fourth Street Market, authentic?
19. Do these works of art represent the traditional roots of the hip hop/graffiti subculture in Santa Ana? Or are these businesses merely using the subculture to attract new clientele to downtown Santa Ana?

18. I believe the use of graffiti is inspired by people who have lived in Santa Ana and have cultural beliefs. I don't think its inspired by businesses its usually people expressing how they feel or wanting to draw something inspiring for people. For example, the mural of fallen soldiers in war. That art is something meaningful and inspiring which has nothing to do with businesses.

19. I believe that it an go both ways. The graffiti can represent the traditional roots of hip hop but at the same time a lot of people take advantage of graffiti and they tag up their gang and that effects Santa Ana in a negative way.
