Early intervention is important for many reasons, some of which are:

• Children who receive early intervention are less likely to need extensive SEN support later on in their education.

• Children who receive early intervention are able to maximise the quality education they will receive sooner rather than later on in their education.

• When children receive early intervention they often receive a diagnosis and support plan sooner on providing emotional and mental relief to parents. They have the answers and solution how to help their child.

It allows for alterations for the child and their needs so that the classroom/school can support them and the ALN.

Children who receive early intervention have a higher development rate than children whose interventions are applied later down their education journey.
