The “thank you”’s felt awkward, almost stifling the conversation and preventing teammates from engaging in a dialogue to better understand one another.

This exercise helps me knowing more about my teammates, and their values. We are definitely more connected. I will start to think about their values when we are in group work. For example, I would go to someone for help more often since they value themselves as empathy.

This helps me to be a “l’ leader because I am more aware of teammates’ concerns and the things they could be worried about. As we grow deeper relationships, I am happy to listen to their problems or share my thoughts. By doing so, the team bond will grow stronger.
