         <description><![CDATA[<div>Learning activity<br>History - Activities developed with Students from 9th grade</div><div>1. Low level of collaboration</div><div>Theme: The prosperity in the USA in the early 20</div><div>After watching the movie "Modern Times" from Charlie Chaplin each student must choose what role would like to play: the boss role, and present suggestions to apply the new American production model based in Taylor ideas and the standardization concept; or the worker role reflecting about the implications of this innovations.&nbsp;</div><div>In the next class was organized a debate: in one side were the bosses and do Workmen in the other, defending each one your ideas.&nbsp;</div><div>It was a good experience, with a great involvement of the students&nbsp; who used solid arguments.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>2. With a high level of collaboration</div><div>Theme. The Cold War</div><div>Students were organized in 4 groups. Each group received a teaching folder containing information about files and small films they could search and a supervisor of research work.</div><div>Each group should prepare a digital presentation as the final product.</div><div>Collaborative Work - 3 of the 4 groups revealed difficulties in organizing and distribute tasks; resorted often to the teacher without first discussing the issues among themselves; the level of involvement of students was different; in 2 groups emerged conflict between couples, because some of them couldn´t simply explain their ideas.</div><div>The final product - 3 groups were evaluated in Good and 1 in Very Good.</div><div>Next in class: individual evaluation sheet with good results.</div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
