         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Jackson’s men were able to move quickly (up to 35 miles a day while average troops managed 15), earning them the nickname “Jackson’s Foot-Cavalry”</li><li>The Massanutten mountains were used to his advantage to make quick strikes on troops and move around them to use for cover/concealing.</li><li>Had a map-maker on staff named Jedidiah Hotchkiss mapped out the valley region so that he was able to see all roads, rivers, etc. giving him a considerable advantage over Union forces.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
