         <title>First battle of Bull Run </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The battle for bull run was considered as the first major battle of the civil war. In July 21st, 1861 General Irwin McDowell marched his army from Washington DC to the Confederate capitol of Richmond, the Union had had an upper hand because they outnumbered the Confederate forces and also managed to break Confederate lines; Confederate reinforcement arrived and managed to defeat the Union army. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Battle of Gettysburg </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The battle was considered as the turning point of the war. Major General Joseph Hooker and his army of Union troops moved his army in pursuit of Robert E. Lee's army and both met at Gettysburg. In July 1st, 1863 Lee's army charged in the middle of the Union's firing line, that mistake was considered a point where Lee was going to loss. The battle lasted for four day with over 50,000 casualty's and a major defeat for the Confederate's.</div>]]></description>

Over 34,00 Union forces commanded by General William T Sherman marched to Atlanta to seize an important railway met Confederate forces outside Atlanta. The battle ended with a  Union victory with only 3600 casualty and with the Confederates to burn down the city. </div>]]></description>

Within a few days over 22,000 soldiers died , with both sides exhausted the Confederates retreated leaving the battle a Union victory </div>]]></description>
