Which means you must be obedient and nice to your mother in order to enter heaven.
In the story Nazia struggles with this because her mom thinks that Nazia will be a dutiful daughter and do everything she wants. But Nazia soon relizes if she wants to be happy she must go against her mom.

This becomes a huge problem for Nazia's family because they no longer get money. Soon they go into debt and Ammi, Nazia's mom has to start working as a masi, which is like a maid. Ammi soon pulls Nazia out of school so she can watch over her siblings.
