Route 66 is the most famous highway trough America. The road starts at Chicago and ends almost 4,000 kilometers further at the beach of Santa Monica, Los Angeles. When you take the drive over the total lengths of route 66 you are going across eight different states, all types of landscape and you see the real America. While driving the route you will find old fashion diners, you can sleep at a bit dirty and scary motel and make a stop at the Grand Canyon. One of the best routes to use for a road trip to see a nice part of America.

Some places you find along the road of route 66 are:

- Chicago

- Springfield, head capital of Illinois

- St. Louis

- Springfield Missouri

- Tusla

- Oklahoma City

- Amarillo

- Santa Rosa

- Albuquerque

- Holbrook

- Grand Canyon NP

- Las Vegas

- Barstow

- Santa Monica

Route 66 was one of the main roads to travel to the West. The growing there was also because of the easier way to go there. Because of the number of travelers on the road there became more people who started a business somewhere on the route 66 you give food or a place to sleep for all the people coming along. Because of this there was a chain reaction and the route 66 got a tourism boom.

Famous people used it for inspiration for songs or the place to shoot several movies or television shows. They used it as a symbol for the “American Dream”. Route 66 became a piece of American Culture.

The legacy of route 66 is very much alive. The Road may not exist in modern maps, but it is immortalized in American popular culture.

American Football is not just about the guys caching the ball across the yards. It is also about the cheerleaders, and then you have the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. “American Sweethearts”. They are cheering for the Dallas Cowboys who are a professional football team.

The ladies are real American icons, in there blue and white uniforms cheering the Dallas Cowboys on to victory. They have dance routines that require a combination of stamina, flexibility, and timing. While doing this with a great smiley enjoying themselves! When the cheerleaders are not at the field cheering, they are there for the fans and have a little talk and giving their autograph. They are really loved and have truly become the darlings of the National Football League.

Around the 1960s the manager of the Dallas Cowboys noticed that football was not only sport but also entertainment. So, he decides to get some models along the sideline, because who does not like pretty girls? But it was a disaster, the girls could not perform in the burning sun and still look pretty. After the fiasco of the models he got students who cheered for the Cowboys until the 1971 Super Bowl Championship. But it was not enough, so the real Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders rise from a new idea. Dee who trained the students had to recruit the best dancers who she could find and got them into a glamorous, choreographed squad. And when the 1972-73 NFL season kicked off, they introduced “The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders”. From there they got more famous and even started their own show group who travelled around the world.

Now there are up to 600 young women from across America who would like to join the team each spring. The competition is big because not only the new girls need to do audition but also the members from the previous team, who in the hope of reclaiming there position again.

Which girls have wat it takes to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader? And is good enough to remember their famous routines? And deserve to wear the uniform?
