My dad shared with me that marrying my mom altered his life dramatically in many positive ways that caused him to become in a committed relationship with somebody, no longer living by himself, living for others other than just yourself, and now being responsible for three other people who are relying on your 24/7, as their lives depend on you. When he was a child, he feels that society and the culture were much better. He finds that the world was a much safer place, the policies of the government were more of a benefit towards people, people in general were friendlier, and people were a lot less sensitive. He believes our society is going downhill as if it is regressing dramatically. As he says, "culture and society have gone to shambles," and a large reason to this he believes is because of politics and a lack of education in our society. What a Wonderful Word by Louis Armstrong. My dad chose this song because he finds it is a great song about life, shows a great appreciation of life and chose it as the song for his wedding video. 

2. Sunday Sun by Neil Diamond. He chose this song because it is a song he really liked when he was a young kid. He does not have a definite reason as to why he likes it so much other than it reminds him a lot of childhood, which is greatly loved. 

3. Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head by BJ Thomas. There is a movie called, "Butch Casdidy and The Sundance Kid" staring Paul Numan and Robert Redford, which my dad loves and this song is in the movie. Along with this, on the last day of 5th grade, his teacher pulled out a guitar and sand this song crying because my dad and all his classmates were graduating into the 6th grade. And so, my dad's 5th grade teacher singing this song on the last day of 5th grade, this song being apart of one of his favorites movies, and this song that reminds him so much of his childhood are the reasons why this is one of his favorites.

If you play it safe your entire life, you don’t achieve what you dream of achieving, or you at least do not give yourself the chance nor the opportunity to make your dreams come true." Often times, regrets are bad, and yes, a lot of the time, you are wishing you would have acted differently. But it is because you tried something or had an idea, and even though it may not have worked out, at least you tried because if you just play it safe all the time and never take any chances nor if you are never getting out of your comfort zone, I do not think you are really challenging yourself. This is my dad's perspective on having regrets, and I love it.

-Business Deals
-When we were young kids, he regrets working too much and not spending enough time with my sister and I, but he shared with me how when you are sacred of not being able to provide for your family, you need to make sacrifices, and because real estate is not based on a salary, you need to go out and make deals otherwise your wife and kids suffer. 
-Regrets dating so soon after mom passed because it really upset my sister.

When things do not go as planned, take a step back, reflect and process, wait until your emotions calm down, and then allow your clear thinking mind to take over instead of allowing your immediate reactive mind to make emotional reactions. 
 
He would have liked to allow himself to enjoy life more when he was younger. He has realized in his later age that, relatively speaking, he has a really good life. He can eat, sleep, and be protected at all times. He has first world problems compared to the majority of people that are living in third-world countries who are worrying about eating, surviving, acquiring medicine when getting sick, or even someone killing them. And so, he would have liked to have had the broader perspective towards life that is now has when he was much younger as well as not taking the obstacles of life as seriously and as dramatically as he did , making them bigger than they are.
