In this paragraph We meet a person called the blue man who was somewhat involved in Eddies life. he was his dads coworker that he used to play cards. We learned that Eddie was responsible for the blue mans death when he was driving his car Eddie as a kid jumped out onto the street to get his baseball and the blue man stopped his car before he hit him. He unfortunately died of a heart attack scared for his life. After Eddie learns the truth he is sorry for what he did. but the blue man was calm and was not mad, he told him that it wasn't his fault he was just a kid. Then Eddie starts to question. Eddie starts to wonder if he's here for his sins but the blue man told him that the reason of this was that a certain amount of people will teach you something along your journey. He then tells him that all lives are connected by each other. I chose this article because it shows that no matter what happens in our lives we are all connected to each other in some way.

In this paragraph we see that Eddie has died and woke up appeared in heaven ans his first thought was that if he saved that little girl. But as soon as he realizes that he feels no pain, every injury he had ever gotten in his life were just mysteriously gone. He had felt no worry no emotion, he didn't feel anything. His first instinct was to reach for his cane but he realized he didn't need his cane just to help him walk. Eddie had not been able to run in decades and has the chance to run again and to be able to feel free again. I chose this scene because it was very emotional and moving, Eddie having the ability to run after decades is so moving how much he missed being young again and to just be free.

In this paragraph the captain tells Eddie that sacrificing is a part of life, its that when you sacrifice something your never going to lose it your just gonna pass it to someone else. An example is that after they had burned the base down Eddie and his friends were getting on the transport truck. The captain was right behind them but as soon as he took the wrong step he ended up stepping on a landmine sacrificing his life for the younger soldiers. Eddie was wondering why the captain chose a battleground to wait for him. the captain explained that he sees a beautiful grove of flowers and trees and the blue sky. I chose this article because it shows us you will always have to sacrifice something to be human and to live.

In this paragraph the captain tells the truth why Eddie has his limp. As they were burning down the base Eddie thought he saw a little kid and ran back into the fire his friend tried to stop him but Eddie punched him in the face and continued. The captain had no chose to save Eddies life he had to shoot his leg and drag him out of the fire. Later the captain said that he has seen this many times that a soldier will just stare into space and rethink what they are doing, realizing that they have reached their limit, that there no fighter in them anymore. I chose this article because it shows how the captain really cared about Eddie that he was willing to hurt him to save his life when Eddie wouldn't listen to reason.

In this paragraph we find out who the third person is. The third person is the wife of the man who built the the theme park on the pier, which is where his dad and Eddie worked at. We also found out how Eddie'd dad really got pneumonia. Mickey just got fired from his job so he got really drunk wanted to to talk to Eddies father but he was working late. So mickey tried to sexually assault his wife so he came home and saw Mickey trying to get with his wife. So his fist inctint was to bash his skull in he found a hammer and Mickey ra out into the water onto the beach and was drowning. He chased after him but found out that Mickey was drowning so he went into the water and saved him. but he was so worn out that his body was weak enough to catch pneumonia and eventually that lead to his death.I chose this article because it describes what anger could do to you, it can change, cause you to do some rash things without even thinking. You wind up to be so angry you don't have time to think when you thinking of anger the first you end up doing is acting on instinct.

In this paragraph we find out that the fifth person that he meets is the so called "girl" who he saw in the fire when he was still in the army. He was shocked and couldn't believe that he was actually right, all this time he though he was just hallucinating about seeing a girl, going crazy, or being senile. Eddie is upset because he feels like that he didn't to anything with his life but Tala says that it wasn't for nothing. If he didn't work at the pier everyday he wouldn't have been able to help all those kids back at the amusement park. his purpose was to keep kids safe from all harm. even though he never had kids. I chose this article because it shows how Eddie is a nice person willing to do anything for friends, or even strangers.

In this paragraph we see that Eddie is at a lake area, and there is children everywhere, Eddie was looking for adults but there was none in sight expect for a bunch of little kids. When Eddie notices a little Asian girl, couldn't be older than 5 or 6, so to be nice Eddie decides to make a pipe cleaner dog and give it to her but as he tells her what it is she said "You burned me." Eddie was starstruck, he didn't know what to say or do until the little girl says that she was giding from something, and that something was soldiers. he didn't know what she was talking about until Eddie thinks back into where he thought he saw a child in the fire when he was in the army. that was her, it was the same life he saw. She also reveals that she is the 5 person he sees on his journey. I chose this article because it shows what Eddies purposes has been for living it was to save children, if he didn't work on their who knows how many more accidents could have happened.

In this paragraph we see that Eddie had just been released from the hospital, and had moved back into his family's apartment. Eddie spent hours watching the kitchen window, watching the carousal ride, and rubbing his bad knee. Until Eddies father has had enough, so he waltz into into the room and yells at Eddie to get a job and to stop be lazy around the house doing nothing. Until Eddie shouts at Eddies dad "ENOUGH!." Eddies father reached his limit so he reeled back to throw a punch,but Eddie grabbed his arm. Eddie had never stood his ground before especially to his own father. His dad jerks back his hand stares at him and flares his nostrils and goes back to his room. After that he never said a word to Eddie ever again. I chose this article because it shows the first time Eddie standing up for himself,standing his ground not doing something just because someone tells you to do it.
