Text Feature Scoot is where there are cards spread around the room and they have arrows that point to the text feature that it wants us to guess.  Then when we are done finding text features we tally how many a’s , b’s , c’s and d’s there are. And whichever answer  there is the most there is a item on the paper for so you buy that item and a soda. The purpose of learning text features was so we know what text features are for.

It is when we reed something and put it in our own words like sharks have big teeth and a long tale. We could paraphrase that to make it into our own words like, sharks have fascinating senses. Or bears are big and tall and live in the forest. If we change it we could change it to, bears are gigantic creatures that live in the forest. We do it  so we don’t copy other people's work or research.

If the word that you circled has 3 ,4 letters you  get 1 point ,5 =2 points, 6=3, 7=4 and 8+ equals 9 points. If  both teams have the word, you cross that word out. Your team keeps score of your team’s points.We did this so we could learn how to read better.

You can flip the number by switching the number to the other side.
