It has been one of the hardest things I had to do. Losing my father to suicide , Im stuck with these questions, anger,and hurt. How can they leave without saying goodbye ?, If they loved me why'd they leave?. Keeping these feelings of anger only made it harder to grieve.

Over these past years I learned that it takes time to forgive and it's not something that is resolved overnight. Forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting or excusing the harm done to you or making up with the person who caused the harm. In order to move forward you need to forgive.

According to greater good website .Studies have shown that forgiving others produces strong psychological benefits for the one who forgives. It has been shown to decrease depression, anxiety, unhealthy anger, and the symptoms of PTSD. Forgiveness brings a kind of peace that helps You go on with life. This I believe.
