My access to health care impacted me in a positive way because I was able to visit an allergist at a young age and find out that I have food allergies. Without this information I could have had an allergic reaction and possibly died due to the reaction. My insurance also covers most of the cost for an epi-pen which is a huge help because otherwise I would have to pay over $600 for the lifesaving shot.
