I can’t decide if I like how it was written in poems. I think it may have helped to tell the story better, but I don’t know. I really liked the way Nora grows in the story. She finally is able to overcome the guilt of losing her mom and feeling like she didn’t do anything in that moment. By helping her dad and not giving up hope to live through the flash flood, she was able to become strong and move past the hurt.
