The website says its rehabilitation team in 2017 to repair older wells, The rehab team returns to older wells to replace broken parts and upgrade the cement platforms around the wells, The cement platform and animal watering trough are repaired using a more robust design standard to ensure many more years of use. Broken wells in Africa are a big problem, field teams also respond to community requests to repair wells drilled by other organizations, WFSS has drilled more than 600 wells since 2005, and More than 500,000 people now have access to safe water, Our drilling teams work during the dry season: December to May, Every new water well takes three to seven days to complete, One well pumps approximately 1,800 gallons (6,814 liters) per day, One to two people in each village are trained in basic good maintenance to ensure common repairs can be made, Communities are connected to local supply chains for spare parts, Each well serves between 500-1,000 people and is shared with everyone. It reminds me of chapter 18 bc of Salva and his team building wells for the Nuer even if they're enemies and that shows kindness and respect.

Clean water is one of the most important things in our lives. Salva has done so much for the world by building wells that give fresh, clean water and building restrooms for people who have to walk for miles at a time for contaminated water and for people who have holes in the ground to use as toilets. Salva's story is very long, inspiring and it shows his persistence, his hardships, his experiences, and his life in general. In Chapter 18, it says that he even built a freshwater well for the enemy tribe for hundreds of years. In the video, one of his most used quotes is "Just keep walking" and I think that quote alone will help the lives of thousands of people who see his story, let alone people who see his entire experience with the hardships of life. The well he built for the Nuer has and will continue to help so many people. In Chapter 18, it says the well has helped the people build a school for the children and that is a big thing. Not only will the children who continue there will learn life skills easier, but they will also have more fun

Clean water is one of the most important things. Salva was very brave and smart by raising money for sudan and the wells. Instead of drinking dirty water because of salva they can drink clean water. Clean water changes your life and i hope he gets to build more wells.

The website states "Children, often girls, spend their days walking for water. They walk an average of 3.7 miles per trip. Sometimes they make multiple trips to obtain water, carrying up to 40 pounds (18 kgs) of water each time." This reminds me of villages like Salvas and Nyas in Sudan, where it’s a common cultural expectation for girls to walk long distances to fetch water from ponds often far from home.

The water they collect isn't clean or cool and may even evaporate during the dry season, forcing these children to spend a large portion of their day walking. As a result, they have little or no time to attend school since it can be miles away, which means they miss out on learning basic skills like reading and writing.

However, thanks to this project, children now have the opportunity to focus on education. Future generations won’t need to spend their days walking to collect water. Instead, they can go to school and learn—something their parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents didn’t have the chance to experience.

The website says,¨Where safe, clean water flows, villages have more opportunities to prosper.¨ I can make a connection to chapter 18 because when the water well gets added to Nyas village, schools are being built, a market is opening, and a clinic might be made too. Nyas village prospered because of the clean water in her village.

Salva had changed so many lives, He made these wells for people who don't have much water at home. So many people have to walk to get their water. The website states that ¨Children, often girls, spend their days walking for water. They walk an average of 3.7 miles per trip. Sometimes they make multiple trips to obtain water, carrying up to 40 pounds (18 kgs) of water each time.¨ This shows that he has helped so many people by doing what he does!
