         <description><![CDATA[<div>On page 15 there is a quote from Fountas and Pinnell that says "We must go beyond hte letter and focus on the process... change what you're noticing and teaching to support self-monitoring, self regulating systems." We need to understand how a student reads, not just label them a level. In the end, every reader is different, but every reader needs to know how to construct meaning in addition to reading the letters </div>]]></description>

         <title>I feel since I have implemented reading workshop one of the things I have always focused on was the student&#39;s reading level. However, after reading this chapter I have realized the reading level does not tell us what kids can actually do with text. My thinking has changed as far as not thinking so much about the student&#39;s reading level, but instead how do they interact with the book they are reading. I will begin focusing more on students using both print and meaning to solve unknown words.</title>
