The science of how they lost there legs

Snakes evolved having legs to losing their legs. Now we know that because of a switch of genetic mutation caused snakes to lose their legs. Two researchers found this out by studying snakes and lizards to pinpoint why snakes being so similar to lizards lost their ability to grow legs. Now there I evidence supporting this from researchers stating “Now researchers say a trio of mutations in a genetic switch are why those legs eventually disappeared. Taken together, the mutations in the enhancer of a gene known as “Sonic hedgehog” disrupt a genetic circuit that drives limb growth in snakes.” And that’s why there legs wont “activate”.
