They go to peoples’ houses not to bother them, but to share what they have learn in the Bible. We are common ordinary people that follow the Bible principles. We try to apply thes principles and values in our daily life. These help us to produce a sensation of well being and motivates us to be honest and respectful people. These same values are the ones that we have passed down on to our child, Victor. As time passed and as he was growing, Victor would always asked his dad to read it to him. He started pre-school last month. For him, going to a new environment away from home was a big step. His first day he was excited, he was thrilled. I was the one that had the fear. Was he going to be ok? Would the teachers respect the fact that my child could not participate in certain celebrations like? How would he feel knowing that others children did things that he couldn’t? Now before you judge, let me tell you that we do have celebrations, joyous ones to, but we do not participate in celebrations that are not Bible based (link below will give you more detail). I didn’t hesitate, but many thoughts came to my head. Was my child in trouble? Did something happen and he didn’t tell me about it? All these and other thoughts were running through my head. As I proceeded to the classroom, the teacher tells me that she has been observing my child and hearing random conversations he was having with other children in his group. She explained to me that of all the children she had had, victor was the one that stood out the most for her. It had turned out that  during dramatic play, some children had pretended to play cops and robbers and that the robbers were going to steal certain things. The teacher explained that she noticed my child move aside from those kids and when the kids told him to be a robber, he said no. When teacher approched him about why he had decided to not play that, he explained that he had learned that stealing and being bad is not something God
Iikes, that he did not want to make his God upset by playing a game that makes him be bad. His teacher then passed on to congratulate me for teaching my child values and principles that the society is lacking today. At that moment I felt proud. My baby, my Victor had defended his faith all by himself. Later when I asked him about he told me that in his reading with his dad on My Bible Lessons and videos for kids on the Jehovah’s Witnesses page, he had learned that when people and kids do nice things Jehovah God feel proud, and he wanted to make him happy. He enjoys playing, reading, learning. He is sweet and loving. The fact that he defends his faith doesn’t make him any different. Please don’t ignore my child. Instead ask him questions about what he has learn about the Bible, ask him what is his favorite Bible story, his favorite character. He will let you know.
