My idea for my artwork was to create a portrait of my dog. I have made paintings and drawings of my other pets and I wanted to have artwork of my dog as well.
2. I chose the image I did because I loved that picture of her. I took the photo while we were visiting Duluth and she was so photogenic that day. Whenever I look at my artwork I can remember that day.
3. I think I did really well at showing her expression. I also think I did really well on her eye. For the most part I also did really well on spacing my work throughout his week.

The most difficult feature to draw was by far the ears. It was difficult to shape and shade.
2. I feel like my features are kind of similar to the examples. My eyes, lips, and ears are similar. However my nose looks nothing like the examples.
3.I think I did very well on shading. I think it really helped show the shapes of the features and their highlights. As you have mentioned, makeup really help me shape my noses, since I already know the highlights and contours.

The three concepts I used are shown through color and objects. The object on my head, a bowl for some fast food place, shows my silly and happy side. Me and my 1 year old cousin where playing with them and putting them on our heads. The necklace I have on is my butterfly choker, I wear it all the time and its and importance part of my appearance. Even though its missing a butterfly I still wear it. And I think that shows character because you can not tell there is a broken piece. Then there is the colors in the back ground. I picked cool color tones for this image because I don't feel like I'm a "yellow" person. I am not always cheering or happy but I am not always sad, so it feels like those colors represent that.
2. My technical aspects are fairly good. I feel like my skin tone is a bit more tan then it normally is but other than that I feel like I did a good job on representing my facial features.
3. My conceptual concepts are not as good as my technical. I feel like I could have spent more time on making them just as important as my features. For example I could have added the broken piece of my necklace, but I chose not to.
4. I did really well on my individual facial features. I love how my nose, mouth and eyes turned out. I feel like I did a good job capturing my two different eyebrow shapes as well.
5. Next time I can improve on my skin tone. I don't like how yellow it looks. I also can improve on incorporating the facial features all together because I think they look great themselves but I want it to really make a good expression. Yes I did find it difficult to show perspective because it was hard to find where to plot the points of the letters. It was difficult to make them look like they were all fulling being "pulled" toward the middle.
2.I showed my personality by adding small drawings of things I love, like nature, animals, sports, music and technology. I also tried to represent something else in my art with the half sunflower. I had an idea that was, you can read a persons name, and know who they are. But you need to see the other half pf the paper to actually know who they are.
3. I think I did well on the letters themselves. I also did well on drawing a few of the things I like. I love how the guinea pig and sunflower turned out.
4. I could do better on the other drawings, like the softball, music, and the app. I feel like I didn't try as much on those. I also could do better at the orthogonals.

The two choices that I completed were the Bob Ross Painting and the Mixed Media Collage.
2. I found It difficult to follow along with the Bob Ross painting because I wanted mine to look just the same as his. I also found it hard not to give up on my painting because, I don't find it to be my best work. For the collage it was difficult to layer the pieces and come up with enough creative ideas.
3.I didn't look up many more techniques outside of the slides because I didn't really need to. I used materials I had at home, and used the techniques on the slides and the ones I already knew.
4. I think I did well at showing my creativity in my collage. It was a lot of fun to see the pieces come together.
5. Next time I will try to not give up on my paintings and not be so discouraged. I started one painting but then decided to restart. I regret that choice because I feel like It would have been better if I stuck with it. Next time I will also keep an open mind and make sure I stay positive.

My favorite art piece I created this semester was by far my mosaic. Its my favorite because not only did I love how it turned out, I also loved the processes of creating it. I loved being able to make something very realistic and modern looking. Having a project that was digital was a great experience for the future. I would like to make more mosaics like mine in the future, they are great way to capture a moment.
2.The most challenging project from the semester was the self portrait. I found it difficult to show how I thought I looked because I feel like I look different everyday. It was also difficult painting a face because I have never painted a face before. However the facial proportion practices and sketches helped a lot.
3. I learned a lot of new art techniques this semester, like shading, proportions, and perspective. I learned digital art techniques through my mosaic. With acrylic paints I learned how different amounts of the paint will give you a different product. For example if you have a lot of paint on your brush, the paint will go on smoothly, if you have less paint it will go on less smoothly.
4. In my future work I use these techniques to better my artwork. I can make more realistic and more finished looking work. Depending on what I do with my career in the future these techniques could be used in that way too. If I chose a marking job, one point perspective and the digital work would come in handy for making advertisements or logos.
5. If I had the opportunity to take the class again I would take it in person. I think this class was great online, but I think everyone would benefit from being together and sharing Ideas and concepts. And personally some things I would do differently would be planning out my artwork in advance. In most assignments I would jump into it without much thought. Which was good sometimes, but other times I wish I would have had more of a plan or vision before starting.
