This baby duck looked different from the other baby ducks. So they made fun of him for it. Until he grew to be a beautiful swan.

The idea of the book stands out to me and what a beautiful message it shares.

Children enjoy this book because so many feel different and the message it has is to be patent beauty will come.

This book is important to me because my son is shorter then his class mates and it bothers him a lot. So I read him this book and explain to him he will not always be short and to be patent with himself and he will grow

Jack and his mother were very poor, So Jack had to take their beloved cow to market to sell. However he ran into a man and traded the cow to him for his magic beans. His mother was very upset threw them out the window and sent jack to bed. The next morning Jack woke up to a bean stalk that grew so high it went into the clouds. Jack decided to climb the bean stalk and when he arrived at the top he was surprised to find a giants castle. When jack went to see what was inside he saw a lot of different types of riches. So he grabbed what he could before the giant smelt him. Jack escaped but his mother was worried and asked jack to not go back up but he did and grabbed more riches but the giant smelt him all the way to the bean stalk and started to follow jack down so they had to cut the stalk so the giant wouldn't be able to come down. However jack was able to grab enough to support him and his mother for the rest of their lives and went back and was able to buy his beloved cow back.

The idea of this book to me is things can be more then they seem. And some times the impossible can become possible.

This book is fun for children because the rhymes that are in it that the children can play and follow along with.

This book is important to me because my dad read it to me a lot as a kid and I would stomp around saying the rhymes and could act the book out during my play time.

It starts with a tiger balancing apples on his head. Then leads in to the dog doing and and turning it into a game where then a lion joins. the more apples they get on their heads they start trying different tricks and competing against each other. By the end they stop competing and start to encourage and support each other.

I Really love this story because it is a group that eventually turns to friends and instead of competing start supporting. We need more of that around. The want to succeed but also to see others be successful also not jealous or angary but supportive.

This book is special to me because my son and I would read it and he would jump and play out the book as I read it to him and it was so much fun we did it all the time.

2008

Pete the cat has these white shoes that he absolutely loves and decided to wear them out side. As he walked down the road he stepped in multiple different things that changed the color of his shoes. It would have made a lot of people mad but not Pete. he just kept walking and enjoying his shoes.

This Book is a lot of fun because the kids can interact through the whole story. It is very catchy and the illustrations are fun and exciting. It also offers a great message of don't let the little things get you upset and mess with your whole day. Find the positive and just keep moving forward.

This is a book with many small poems put together. This is a great book because the poems are fun and short so children wont loose interest and have an easier time remembering the ones they enjoy the most

• This picture book follows the life cycle of a caterpillar who starts off from an egg and begins eating everything he sees. After 6 straight days of eating everything from fruits, desserts, and all types of foods, he eventually ate so much his stomach began to ache. The next day he started to form his cocoon which he stayed in for 2 weeks, then eventually emerged as a colorful and beautiful butterfly.

• This is a beautifully illustrated story through painting and colorful images of nature, foods, and a caterpillar going through the cycle of life. There are lots of familiar foods that we wouldn't necessarily think a caterpillar would eat through, but it helps make the story fun and engaging for the young readers.

• This picture book teaches children about colors, days of the week, and life cycles in an engaging and simple way. I can imagine using this in environmental activities or a science unit of study to touch on the life cycle of a caterpillar and even have our own classroom ones to engage with.

This is a story about a sick wolf going to ask his neighbors that are pigs for ingredients for his grandmothers soup that she used to make him when he was sick. However the pigs are scared of him so they keep running and hiding but and he would sneeze great big sneezes because he was sick he would knock their house down.

This is one of my absolute favorite books when I was a kid. It put more of a story to the original and there was no bad guy just misunderstanding and no one was in great danger. Once you add in the rhymes it was a lot of fun to listen to. It also taught me a lesson that I still go by as an adult, do not judge a book by its cover. You don't want others to do it to you do not do it to others

This is a story that a fish had all these beautiful different colored scales and wouldn't share but then started to get lonely and shared her scales with everyone. It helped her know that having friends is better then having the beautiful scales.

This is a great story to teach children to be humble. To not get so caught up in material items.

This is a story where a father had lost all is wealth and had to move him and his children to the country. While his older children are unhappy about it as his youngest is doing her best to keep high spirits. The father went on a trip and each child asked for something worth a lot of money so his youngest child didn't want anything worth money just a single rose. The father was unable to get any of the gifts and on his way home he got lost. He came across a castle where he saw out refuge when it was the next day he was leaving when he found a garden full of roses and you decided to get the only gift for his youngest daughter and picked a rose. It upset the castle owner who then wanted to kill him for this rose until the father had mentioned his daughters. So the beast decided he can go get one of his daughters to be willing to sacrifices themselves for him. His youngest spoke up and offered herself to go for him. She went and the beast grew feelings for her and she did the same.

This is a good story because it shows very

clear the difference of the greedy sisters and the sweet one and how they don't need the wealth to be happy and that all you need is each other.
