My husband and I are goofy; we like to have fun and live life to its fullest. My husband is in the US Coast Guard, which means we have lived all over the place in the last 17 years since we were married. We have lived in Alaska twice, Texas, Oregon, California twice, and Hawaii. We are currently living in Northern California (Humboldt County). My husband and I are from here, so having our family around us is so awesome. We have three beautiful daughters. Their ages are 14, 11 & 18 months. We missed having littles in the house, so we added one more to the crew, hence the big age gap. Right now, I am not working, just taking online classes. This is my 1st semester at PO as I have transferred from the University of Hawaii, West Oahu, where I was working on my BA in elementary education. I was able to teach 1st grade in Hawaii, and I miss being in the classroom.

While i have been on the path to earn my teaching degree, i had an epiphany that i did not actually want to teach anymore. While quickly reflecting on what i wanted to do, i realized how much social work had been placed in my path a number of times in the last year. I got on the phone and called my advisor at PO and quickly changed my Masters degree path from education to social work.

While I enjoy taking pictures of wildlife and scenery, I have also ventured into family, wedding, and birth photography.

This is my favorite cookie recipe and it is always requested by everybody I know. I add health chips, peanut butter chips, really anything I want to these cookies and they are absolutely fantastic.

Work, Work, Work, Work, Work....

During the last semester of my bachelor's program at PO, I had to do an internship. My good friend works for a local business that assesses children ages 0-5. The clinicians there do floortime play therapy, both individual and group sessions, child/parent psychotherapy for trauma, and assessing and diagnosing children with autism and other developmental delays. When my 45 hours were up, the Psychologist asked if I wanted a job learning how to do all of these things while I was going through my Master's program. I was so excited to be given this opportunity.
