The most impactful learning in this course was understanding neuroplasticity and its application in designing brain-based learning experiences. As an instructor, I believe that understanding how the brain’s ability/capacity to change and adapt can be harnessed to enhance cognitive growth and resilience among my learners. With this knowledge I can create more engaging and motivating instructional environments, fostering lifelong learning and better student outcomes. Additionally, I learned that integrating self-care strategies to maintain my physical, social, and emotional well-being is crucial because it can significantly enhance my ability to be present, energized, and supportive of my students. This can also help me improve my teaching and personal effectiveness.
