In my mind the village has a mixture of thatched and unthatched house depending on the income of the families living in it. But even so, the thatched houses are modest in nature too. There’s a shop that sell all the necessary commodities with a broken and old sign with the wrong spelling. People use more of cycles and their feet as a means of transportation rather than vehicles. It has a main road that runs the full length of the village and a few side roads that lead to different houses. It is surrounded by rolling hills that creates a loose perimeter around the village and there’s a river or a stream running along it. The air in the village is purer than in the cities for there is more greenery here. There are fields of some crop and this provides the main income to most families. There’re power lines running throughout the village but it is short in coming and the village faces a lot of power issues. Street lamps are uncommon here.

The village dwellers wake up early and go off to their works as the sun starts to peep through the rolling hills that make up something of a perimeter of the village. Most dress simply and are not considered to be privileged. They wash their clothes in the river and work in the fields and take care of a few cows that they take to graze in the fields. The children play among the trees and fields more than stay inside their houses. Most people know each other by name for it is a very small place. The people mostly spend their evenings chattering away, the men in their unruly gang and the women in their quieter groups, both sharing their daily stories. The children play with each other well into the evenings and go back home only when their parents start to holler for them.

Then a bridge nearby joining both ends. Lands with beutiful farm, cattles happily roaming around taken good care of by villagers as they are one among us. Village unites everyone and makes everything even more closer. Everyone in a village is an integral part of a family, even a boy on the street is enquired about his welfare. The people, cattles, birds and nature making a perfect harmony and that's my village.

A visit to my village would be the the best visit ever. My house is at the edge of the village, where we have a farm for vegetables. The fresh air, the greenery and the mountains are all beautiful. There is a river about half a kilometer from the heart of the village, which is where we get our water from. We have a few shops for groceries and general stuff, but no hospitals nearby. The nearest hospital is 10km from here, in the town. We have some farms here too, and we cultivate a lot of vegetables like carrots, potatoes, tomatoes etc. We don't have any buses here, but the Sarpanch said that we will have buses here by next month.
We rear cattle too - cows, sheep, goats. All of our earnings come from selling these vegetables and diary products.

Farmers wake up in the morning for hand milking or machine milking cattles producing milk and is distributed among people. It becomes a daily routine and they keep checking on the cattle for feeding them, washing them, etc. Different types of milk products are consumed by people in daily life. Dairy farming is growing and modernizing in India.
