The website itself is simple to use and is navigated via a search bar. Although, searching provides a large amount of information and articles which could take ages to go through to find a direct answer. Therefore, this decreases the appropriateness for children’s use. The website interlinks with the National Curriculum making it a useful resource for both the teacher and children. On the website bright colours and cartoons have been used to enthuse children in both KS1 and KS2. A teacher would be able to show this in a class or even interact with the games available so the children can incorporate fun within the learning. Navigation wise this website may be best for KS2 as there are a range of readings which younger students may find rather difficult.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC KIDS is a good website for children in KS1 and KS2. The website is full of stories which is an interactive format of learning. The website has resources that teach the curriculum for geography. It is full of bright colours. Which is appealing for the children. There are many different types of books which children can read with images and a wide range of books which cover many of the geography topics. There are also competitions for children to take part in which the children will enjoy which helps them engage into the subject more. Furthermore there are games and puzzles for children to play which will further enhance their knowledge of geography skills.

However they website lacks in certain features. For Example there is no videos for children to watch as some children can’t read as well as others but can interact and learn through watching videos and therefore the website doesn’t best suit different learners.

Overall it is a good website to use for ks1 nd ks2 which will help develop their knowledge and understanding about the world around them

Particular focus on cultural understanding as they visit many places across the world. Also opportunity for cross-curricular link with History as some of the episodes focus on historical landmarks or figures (eg.
