To conserve water you need to, take shorter showers, turn the tap off while brushing your teeth and making sure you have no water leaks around your house. Also, people can get a rain water tank, for when it rains and the water will falls off the house and into the tank or you can get gutters that will lead water into the tank.

The environment can have extreme weather anytime of the year and can affect freshwater which people depend on, like mud slides or soils erosion leaking into streams that people get their drinking water from. Due to climate change and the shortage of water people won’t have enough water to live and a lot of people will die of thirst. Pollution into lakes and streams can come from fertilizers that farmers use to produce healthier crops. A drought can also affect water shortages because when it is very hot the sun can dry out the water and when it doesn’t rain the tanks don’t get replenished. When global temperatures increase, water will evaporate in larger amounts which will lead to more frequent, intense rain and lead to more flooding around the world. All these things affect the environment and in turn affect water shortages.

Social changes of water scarcity can affect families and their communities. Social water scarcity can have horrible consequences for a community, with a lack of clean water households don’t function properly. If there is no clean water for bathing, cooking, drinking or cleaning in general this could lead to other health problems and continued suffering. This is true in low-income communities, where individual people don’t have the money to buy bottled water. Water scarcities affect a lot of families and communities because as the years go on, the communities only get bigger, which means they will need a lot more water to survive. With water shortages in the community everyone would have to take a lot less so that is enough to go round so that no one has to suffer.

In Afghanistan, 87% of the water is contaminated. Ethiopia’s shortage is caused by the country being landlocked and arid, Chad is in sever drought. Cambodia ad Laos’s water supply is contaminated and not suitable for humans. The 2010 earthquake in Haiti caused infrastructure to be damage and means water is only available to half the population. Syria and Somalia were affected heavily by the war, leading to water shortages.

- By population India has the biggest risk of water shortage followed by Pakistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia

Water shortages can lead to conflict between neighbouring governments due to the availability of water. Due to the depletion of rivers, lakes and streams people have to rely heavily on below-ground water to survive, therefore with water becoming scarce governments turn to politics to secure it. Climate control and population growth are two of the leading problems contributing to conflict within the governments. Agreements and allocating water quoters are heavily monitored by governments so that it remains fair and no one over uses their share of the water. Hydro politics are the deals related to water issues above and below the earths surface as well as natural and artificial water resources. With water being at its all time low it is important that the remaining water is being governed and protected because with out water nothing and no one will survive.

In recent years, low rainfall in many parts of Australia has led to low water storage levels, causing concern about the adequacy of water supplies. The reason is that there is a little of rain. By it, the desertification’s break out. It is said that Australia is the second dry country following the South Pole. n Australia, water scarcity will undoubtedly cause an increase in competition between agriculture and industry for water usage; it will undermine and greatly affect domestic food production and will result in increased political pressure borne by the escalation of climate change refugees seeking asylum. ok

As climate change increases it can damage water around the world as it can get very hot which can dry up the water or it can get very cold which freezes the water supply so most people can not access the clean, fresh water. A drought can also affect water shortages by having no water because it has not rain in a while and the people in that area have to make restrictions for how much water people can take per family, so everyone can have the right amount to take home.

Humans directly change the dynamics of the water cycle through dams constructed for water storage, and through water withdrawals for industrial, agricultural, or domestic purposes. Climate change is expected to additionally affect water supply and demand. Humans can affect the water available by wasting it for taking too long in the shower cause it is very nice or having too much laundry to do. Also, humans damage water available because as people litter the rubbish around, water can be polluted and it will be unable for humans to drink, or they will get very sick and may die.

Of growing population rising incomes, and expanding cities will demand for water rising exponentially, while supply becomes more erratic and uncertain. As cities want more water the economies will need to pay more money, and if they keep spending more money on water they will run out of money. Also, when water shortages happen it is scary for agriculture farmers because they can no longer have as much water as much as they could to grow their crops and they live on selling the food they grow that only need a little amount of water.
