This project would be virtually impossible to conduct in virtual setting. Students would not have access to this equipment at home. Doing group work can be challenging due to the impersonal nature of online classrooms. This sequence also takes several class periods, which are greatly limited in current online learning environments.
Something positive to note about this activity is the intersectionality of physics, math, and engineering. All three subjects are incorporated in a pragmatic manner that enhance one another.

The scaffolding and sequencing used in this article seem to be extremely well thought out. Chunking different components of a multi-lesson project based learning assignment can make the materials better accessible to students and make the goals more manageable and thus easier to achieve. Employing a project based learning approach that tasks students with solving a real-world problem demonstrates the practical applicability of the topics covered in the curricilum. While this article does not cover my content area of biology, using a similar type of approach to a biology related project, or sequence of lab activities could certainly be used in my biology classroom.
