Whether it be a deadly disease, or a loss of a close family member or friend, these *STRONG* people have survived and kept going.

I know, personally, a survivor: Ginger, my dog.  before we got her, she was mistreated. Not being fed correctly, not taken to the vet, etc. When we got her, she was obese and had a skin condition. We eventually got her body into a good condition, but her skin condition is still a problem. 

She is persistent, brave, sweet, and the-best-dachshund-in-the-world.       I know many survivors but one person I would like to talk about is my adopted grandpa Steve Riggs. He fought along side the American troops in the Vietnam War and was shot at many times but made it out alive winning 3 great awards. They where the purple heart and the bronze and silver stars. Steve Riggs is a survivor.

Even a non-living thing could be a survivor our homes survive storms pretty much every day. 
     Someone I know who is a survivor is my great grandpa. In world war two he fought against the Germans and took 3 shots all in the chest and then died of age.
     The traits that a survivor could have  are determined hard-working and NEVER give up.
