I think that sometimes social conformity is bad, like this picture here.

This is because the group of friends in the background are probably saying mean things online, and they are doing it because someone else did it and they want to fit in.

The kids in this class are all being quiet in the classroom because that’s what everyone does.

The kids follow after each other in there quiet behavior in school.

Socail comformaty to me means giving to others that need it most. In the photo an elderly lady is giving food/ groceries to the homeless man. This shows the kindness that people give to the people that do not have anything.

Everyone else said the correct answer is C but she was thinking B. The girl is thinking B but she didn’t say it because she was hesitant that everyone would think she’s not capable of answering simple questions or is a bad description maker.

This illustrates social conformity because it shows many people doing the same thing because it’s expected. When people are on the cross walk they are doing what is socially exceptable. But the few people outside the cross walk are the people who are just doing what they want but it’s still sort of conformity because there are also others doing it.

This is a negative example of social conformity. This girl in the background obviously wants to be part of the group, but both the other girls are making no move to invite her. Therefore, neither of them probably will end up inviting her in.

This represents social conformity because the group of people are not welcoming. Even if some of them do want to invite the girl into their friend group they don’t because no one else is doing it and they don’t want to be the only one in the end most people a enjoy going to stand out because they will be the odd one out.

I think that this picture shows social conformity because all of the girls in this picture are wearing the same thing not on purpose.

This shows social conformity because these girls put there jackets on because they thought it looked good or would have been appreciated by others.

The jackets must have been an expectation for girls to wear so they feel good about themselves.

I think this picture shows that people who see there friends vaping see it and want to fit in so start vaping. But once that person starts to vape it leads them down a path were they have to quit vaping and lose friends which would be extremely hard to pick. Finally when they are doing it together they think it’s okay because it’s with there friends.

To me, social conformity looks like people copying specifically what someone else is doing. I think this is an example of social conformity because it shows that there is not much difference in the people as everyone is wearing the same outfit. It also shows that someone had enforced a rule that others had to conform to.

I think that this picture represents social conformity cause everyone is following the same rule of saluting. If a new soldier came and everyone started saluting an officer that soldier would do the same. Overtime it would become a habit and then that rule would be applied to them because that soldier saw everyone else saluting.

I think social conformity is like a herd of sheep. I know it sounds weird, but for example, sheep usually blindly follow the leader of the group. Most of the sheep don’t even know where they are going.

I believe that social conformity is like a herd of sheep walking the same path, even if there are multiple of them. Sheep tend to follow others, even if there is another way to go that they think is right; because they feel more secure in a group than by themselves alone. I think this is similar to how some people may try fitting into some groups because they are the ones that seem to be fine at all times and act alike them.

This illustrates conformity because the dad is influencing his children to do chores. This is also showing conformity because the kids are doing what their father is doing. Lastly the kids are probably only doing chores because they felt very influenced.

I believe this photo demonstrates how the “Popular kids” can judge anything and even if it’s wrong it doesn’t matter.

The person look like they are judging some new broke boy who entered the school. The rest of the table then joined her.

This image shows social conformity in confidence. When one person starts to do an activity at a gathering of some sort, like dancing, other people are more likely to join. The more people participating, there is an increased chance that more will join.

They are all wearing the same thing even if they don’t even know what is happening.

Many people go along with their friends and don’t say anything, even if they know they are doing something wrong like partying all night when you have school the next day. Everyone tells you don’t do things that you know are bad even if your friends do them. But no one really does that.

I think that the photo shows social conformity because they are all wearing the exact same thing. This shows social conformity because it’s showing that everyone wore a trench coat, and a top hat. So it means that no one wanted to be the odd one out and wear something different because they could feel embarrassed if they were too.

I think this shows how even if all of them don’t want to make fun of him they are to fit in. They are following each other not wanted to be left out or stand out to the rest.

If a kid doesn’t know the answer to something but everyone else does, it will make the person feel bad. If they see everybody else raising their hands then that kid will too even if they don’t know the answer. They might feel embarrassed to be the only person who doesn’t have their hand raised.
