What I think was Interesting about the story was the situation with the police man. Because there was actually no one in this city and no one in the police car and way did he man get arrested just because he walk alone in the city at night? How should he be walking with some one if in the city is no one?

someone said that the people were probably afraid to go outside at night, even though there was no crime, because the government or someone was making them scared, but the people seem to have a good life, and it is also possible that they are not afraid, but in fact like their life in this community, and don' t want it to change, since there is little to no crime. Or they are to busy watching t.v. or something else, to go outside.

I found it interesting that although there was no crime in the city, no one went outside. In order for this to be the case there must have been something that they were afraid of, or some kind of authoritarian government that had control over them and forced them to stay inside.

In the story, it mentioned several times about how the streets were abandoned and how the city was dark. Is it possible that in a city populated with 3 million people that not a single one was out? That made me think that they were scared of something, but then I heard how there was no crime, I now I think that they are scared of the government, or some sort of law. That makes me think that this is a dystopian story.

Something I found interesting is was that in a city of 3 million people, one police car with actually no human people in it, there is no crime. Also, something I paid close attention to was how when the police car said "what is your profession" and Mr.Mide said "I am a writer" The car said no profession which is interesting, then they immediately took him to the physcratic center . Even in our world with technology growing we still read. This also connects to Fahrenheit 451 when society was swept into technology. Could this be a prequel to Fahrenheit 451? The mood of the story was very dim, not all sunshine and butterflies, but kind of rainy

I found it really interesting that in those version of the future, people no longer read, and didn't seem like they exercised either. It seemed like they spent most of their time watching TV, and it was really different that there was barely any law enforcement too. In this overpopulated city, people cared so less about crime, that there was 1 police car only, and that was a robot. I think that people start relying on technology way too much, and it was ruining them. Maybe they were scared of the government, or probably just too lazy.

Something that I found interesting is that the police car took him to a hospital/asylum just because he was walking. It was probably rare to find anyone walking. It was probably either that they weren't allowed to be out or that no one went out at night because they were always watching tv. They were consumed by the technology. When Mr. Mead told the car that he writes, it said "no Profession." That probably means that there are no longer any books or writers in this world.

Something I found interesting in the story is that Mr. Mead was arrested for walking for fresh air in the night. The setting of this story is a city filled with 3 million people and not one, walks out at night, with the exception of Mr. Mead. In our present day world, streets such as New York are always bustling during the night time. Therefore, it is unusual for Mr. Mead was arrested in the city, for walking at night. In a city filled with 3 million people, how could there only be one person strolling the streets?
