It was a lifestyle, white people had the mindset that they were the superior race and everyone else knew it. People grew up with this mindset and it honestly still stands today, yes we share this society but everyone knows that the white people definitely get treated differently than other races. With some experience and story's from my parents whites in school were treated with more respect and teachers were just nicer to them. Its a built-in advantage against other children. In TEWWG whites were thought so highly of but "black women were the mules of the world". They earned more without doing any work or at least very minimal yet, blacks would work day and night and there outcome wasn't what they deserved. Ultimately if these two people became friends anybody could, the main message was acceptance and showing respect. Not everyone has the same views on everything, that's what makes the world. But accepting there differences is whats important. Davis would invite his friend over to his house and have dinner multiple times, show him off to other friends and family and support him at his cross burning's. Just like every friendship you agree and disagree on things however the overall ending is respect. In There Eyes Were Watching God, Tea Cake grew respect for Janie and so did Janie. Tea Cake was poor and wasn't as big of a icon in the community like Joe or Logan was but Janie loved him for him, treating her like a equal. Though there was a few incidences of Tea Cake being disrespectful he respected Janie and took care of her. As Alex Dang said know matter what you put in front of his name or as far away he is from the stereotypes people will always see him as "that Asian". Just like  in Their Eyes Were Watching God, Janie was viewed as the black nigger woman and couldn't do anything but stay inside and listen to her spouse. She wasn't free to express and was labeled with stereotypes from the local towns people. Today's world doesn't believe in seeing things in other peoples shoes or perspective they go ahead and decide whats going to happen,they've already decided how they go about looking at that individual. Personally when I walk into stores with my dad or best friend Berhanu we just get looked at, like they've never seen a black person before. Being closely watched by the cashier when in the far isles of the convenience store because they assume we are up to know good and being mysterious when were just trying to get soda and chips. They label us as doing something bad or trying to cause trouble because we are not "the norm". America is supposed to be equal with everyone not just race or religion but also gender. Eddie Huang struggles in America and grows jealous of his little brothers success and lavish lifestyle hes living in Taiwan. Yet his brother congratulates him on his success and says hes glad he stayed in Taiwan because he wouldn't be as successful in America as his brother. The overall success anywhere involves dedication,patience and hard work. It doesn't matter about where your from, profiling is happening and creating false accusation of different races and religions. Black Feminism is an education system of understanding thoughts of sexism,class oppression,gender identity and racism and all these terms are connected due to intersectionality. Crenshaw believed that black feminism wasnt about being black or being a women but how people acted to one another and how we could reinforce eachother as one. Economic Equality is the idea of fairness and understanding of in economic, particularly in regard to taxation or welfare economics. In TEWWG Janie didn't get the rights she deserved due to her being a women, she was automatically out of the picture when it came to hard labor or a "mans job". Women for years have been oppressed and kept up within themselves because again it was a lifestyle the men went out and the woman stayed inside. Once one person finally spoke out, more and more people found there voice similiar to Janie. There are alot of women still afraid to speak up but the goal of Women Marches is to have everyone tell there story. The Women’s March exists to fight bigotry and discrimination in all their forms including homophobia and antisemitism. Unfortunately today, more than 62 million girls around the world are not in school half of whom are adolescents. We know that countries with more girls in secondary school tend to have lower maternal mortality rates, lower infant mortality rates, lower rates of sexual diseases and better options for kids nutrition. However often, a girl who could change her world for the better is locked out of that future by the circumstances of her birth or the customs of her community and country and as a group we have to change this,as a society to give these people the opportunity they deserve.
 A girl with an education can shape her own future and do great things like, lift up her family, and transform her community. Which is why the Obama's launched Let Girls Learn, a U.S. government initiative aimed at helping adolescent girls attain a quality education that empowers them to reach their full potential. It is an important choice that belongs to couples in love. In fact, many people consider their choice of partner the most important choice they ever make. Civil marriage is also a legal gateway to a huge selection of protections, responsibilities, and benefits, most of which cannot be replicated in any other way. These are access to health care and medical decision making for your partner and your children; parenting and immigration rights and a bunch of other governmental rights. 
After passing the federal anti marriage law marketed as the "Defense of Marriage Act" in 1996, the government cataloged more than 1,049 ways in which married people are accorded special status under law. Which is limiting the rights of gay and lesbian couples. These people are just as important as everyone else so why cant they have the same rights?
Finally, marriage is the vocabulary in which non gay people talk of love, family dedication, self-sacrifice, and stages of life. It is the vocabulary of love, equality, and inclusion. While recognizing that marriage should not be the sole criterion for benefits and support, nor the only family form worthy of respect, the vast majority of lesbians and gay men want the freedom to marry for the same mix of reasons as non gay people. Which they deserve because we were all born to be equal.
