This will be my seventh year teaching but first year in first grade. I have spent the last 6 years teaching 2nd grade. I have always said teaching direct phonics terrifies me. I never learned about teaching phonics skills when I was in college. This is my 25th year of teaching the last 7 have been in Title I Comm. Arts.
