They greeted the students with positive activities to promote resiliency and start the day on the right foot:) This included Resiliency Bingo with AWESOME prizes, bubble magic, and positive affirmation sidewalk chalk. Also, the transformed a room into a beautiful Zen Den for the staff to visit throughout the day. This included, snacks, positive affirmations, a coloring station, a hand massage station, a calming station with sand and fidgets. They also had lots of giveaways for the staff. Way to go Southwood!!

We asked the questions "What does resilience mean to you?" and "What are some ways you've shown resilience in the past?" It was a nice way to open up the discussion of different ways that students are resilient and giving them tools and knowledge to continue doing so!

The top right station was good coping skills VS make a better choice, where the students had to sort through different action cards (I.e take a deep breath, run out of room, and more), and place them in the appropriate place. The other stations were coloring a sheet with a positive affirmation, feather breathing and tracing, and physical coping skills (I.e squeeze play-doh). The students had a great time and were able to learn about positive coping skills.
