When I thought about Patterns in Nature, I thought about the weird patterns we see every day without recognizing that they are 100% dictated by nature. What I notice about this picture is blue eyes. How often do I think about the pattern of eye color? Almost never. But it's pattern that I seemingly overlooked for so long. As soon as I had that idea I knew I had to capture it somehow.

One with Kearstin's face blurred and one with her face focused. The one with her face focused was a little bit conflicting to me because I didn't know what to look at first - her face or the flowers. I went the blurred picture because it looks cool. I like that it makes you wonder about her and what's happening in the picture. The process - we took turns laying under plexiglass with flowers on top. We arranged the flowers uniquely based on how we wanted our individual pictures to turn out.
