In my opinion social structure had the main influence on Mesopotamias society. Social structure influenced Mesopotamian society by changing what power they had based on what they were labeled as, for example a king or a commoner, but also making sure everyone had a role. It also made sure that everyone stayed in their place and kept people from fighting over power along with ensuring that every role/job will get completed.

Some people might say that food supply is most important because you need to feed everyone, but without a social structure people will be fighting for food and some people will end up with all of the food. But with a social structure even if there's little food the king or the one with power can ration it out to everyone, making sure everyone eats and stays healthy.
